Be careful when making on-line purchase for your water treatment needs.  Well Water with high Iron content especially beware.  Your water should be measured for the Iron content, Hardness and PH levels.  Then a performance data sheet should be provide to show that the recommended system will function as claimed.  Water with low PH can cause certain medias to not perform as stated.  In some cases, low PH will dissolve media completely.  ANOTHER important factor is, "Filter Media Does Not Last Forever".  If claims are being made that certain filter media will last hundreds of thousands of gallons, one must put good ole common sense to use.  How can claims like that be supported when well water qualities are unique and different from locations throughout the US.

Hard Water,Iron and other Well Water Conditions

There are several fairly Common Water Conditions present that Affect our Homes and Lives!      Hard Water is the most Common Contaminate. Usually represented as Grains per Gallon. At 6 -7gpg and above, this will cause the formation of Mineral Scale build up on Plumbing Fixtures, Shower Walls and Enclosures, Spotting on Glassware, Silverware, and Dish's, Dingy Stiff Laundry, Stiff Dry Hair and Itchy Skin, and Heavy Soap Scum build up in Sinks and Tubs. Also when you Heat Hard Water, the Hardness Precipitates out of the Water. It Recrystalizes on the bottom of your Water Heater and will Scale the Heat Exchanger of your Boiler and Tankless Water Heaters causing Premature Failure! Hard Water has a Monetary effect on a Home. By Treating Hard Water you will: Reduce the Harsh Chemicals needed For Cleaning, Reduce All Soaps and Detergents by 50 -75%, Clothing will Retain their Bright Colors and Last 15 -20% Longer, and Appliances such as Dish Washers, Clothes Washers, and Water Heaters

Single tank media filters require a regular maintenance schedule.  Another common problem is the single tank filters are over filled with media.  For example, calcite is used for water that is acidic.  A bag of calcite weighs 50 lbs.  At that weight, a conventional back washing valve will not generate enough back pressure to rinse or lift the media.  Now Imagine what happens when "Water Treatment" companies use two bags of calcite?  When too much calcite is used, it will harden and turn sold/hard like cement.  Thus becoming a useless filter.  Birm or Green Sand are other medias (that if to much used) will become non functional.  www.waterpros.net

Does your water system look like this?  Multiple systems trying to treat and fix your problem water?  Water Pros offers a simple solution to problem water!  We have the technology where one unit can handle three different water issues.  What if you could have one water treatment system handle iron staining, hardness and low ph (acidic water)?  The biggest service issues with multiple systems solutions is they (the provider) fail to properly replace filter media, inform the consumer of maintenance requirements or do a routine water test as well water quality will fluctuate.   In most cases, we have seen the water quality  worse from a multi unit system (due to poor or no maintenance) then what is actually coming out of the well.  www.waterpros.net
